Households
Your own money and shared money, side by side
Many couples share some of their money and keep some to themselves. In Linkly the shared part goes in a Household with your partner, and you each keep your own Personal next to it.
A Household with your partner
Make a Household and invite your partner by email. It holds what you share: the joint account, the rent, the energy, the groceries. It is a Household before your partner joins and stays one after they leave.
- A joint account belongs to the Household, not to one of you
- You both see the same lists and totals
- When someone leaves, their own mailbox and bank account stop feeding it

You each keep your own
Your Personal stays yours. Your partner is a member of the Household, not of your Personal, so they never see it, and you never see theirs.
- No share settings: where an item is decides who sees it
- Each row says which administration it is in
- A joint account counts whole in your balance, marked as joint

Your own mail and bank feed both
Your mailbox and your own bank account can feed your Personal and your Household. Linkly reads each email and payment once and puts it where it belongs. A receipt for a payment on the joint account goes to the Household with its payment.
- You choose what each mailbox and account feeds
- When nothing says where it belongs, it stays in your Personal and Linkly asks you
- Your answer holds for that counterparty

Together or one at a time
Tick what you want to see. Home, Money, Recurring, Counterparties and Insights all follow, and search goes through everything you show.
- Your choice is saved on your account, so computer and phone agree
- Each account counts once, however many administrations it feeds

Something in the wrong place?
Move it from the row's menu. The whole item goes, with its receipt, emails and files, and Undo puts it back exactly. Linkly remembers it for that counterparty.
- Only to administrations you are a full member of
- Old links keep working

In Nibud's study of Dutch couples, 78% had a joint account: 40% only a joint one, 38% a joint one next to their own. Linkly fits both, and couples with only their own accounts too.
